Could you Please Help me Decide ?

I had a clear vision of what I wanted to do with a printed scuba knit , bought last winter. It was this.

The pattern choice was so problem. Burda 6988 of course.

I had a royal blue plain scuba knit to use for the yoke and side panels but I wasn't sure about that combo so I made this top  (V8856)  to try out the  two fabrics.

I like it but I'm still not sure about the dress. The royal blue is a bit brighter than the blue in the print.

I took pics of the print with royal blue and the ptint with a  navy blue knit . I was wondering if you, dear readers could vote on A or B to force my hand. I'll go with the one that gets the most votes so here goes.

(A)...royal blue

or (B)...navy

Please help me out !

  1. I liked the royal blue, until I scrolled down and saw the navy! It has so much more 'pop' and it frames it nicely. I vote B!

  2. Navy has my vote! But I'm biased toward subtle...

  3. I vote for the navy! It really makes the print be the star.

  4. The navy works better with the print

  8. I I initially like the royal until you pointed out the Blues were not an exact match. I'm leaning far more towards navy...has more impact.

  11. Navy.It makes the print pop better. When paired w/the royal blue the print just blends in.

  14. Another vote for navy. It makes sense to have the darker color in a long sleeve dress, I think.

  15. Yep, navy. The bright blue is just a bit too much.

  16. Navy. That will also add a nice slim look down the sides, instead of jumping out as the royal tends to do.

  17. The royal blue is to bright you see if before anything else, Navy is the way to go.

  18. The navy will go much further as a wardrobe staple I believe. Although, I am personally drawn to the dramatic side with the royal blue. Even I have to tone it down ever so often. The navy will go with your red jacket you just made.

  19. I do love the blue, but if you want to really feel good in this dress, navy it is. So much about color is how you feel in it, there is that inner sense. Since you are asking us, your inner sense is speaking to you. ENJOY and can't wait to see your new dress. Plus you could have two garments: one blue and one navy--a great experience.

  22. Navy looks really good and is truer to your original sketched vision too! Go navy!

  23. I love how the navy lets you appreciate all the subtleties of the print. You find such beautiful fabrics! Looking forward to the post of the completed dress and hope you link all your past entries that are related. I like the sketch with the slash of navy across the top and on the sides and cuffs. It frames the print so well.

  24. Another vote for the Navy! It just pops the print so nicely.

  25. The navy is beautiful. The print is the star and yet it blends so beautifully.

  26. Royal blue. It does not have to be an exact match to be a pleasant coordinate. The navy blue dulls the print too much for my tastes.

  27. navy blue would make it a bit more elegant for winter months. It would also give you a slimmer profile.

  28. I'd love to see what it looks like with black! Between the two blues, definitely navy.
